We hope you are as excited as we are to welcome you to Chapter 104!

Let's start things off right with the Ice Pick section. This month we bring you a portrait session done on Jerry and Melissa's rooftop in Los Angelas. Inspired by Calvin Klein ads, this session will give you lots of inspiration for many of the shoots you will have in the future. Yes, we know they are partially clothed but that shouldn't effect the way you look at the posing. It's important to note how lighting was used throughout this session. It was an overcast day but with the use of a black reflector, Jerry was still able to cut light bringing shade and shadow though they weren't naturally present.

From overcast to harsh sun. We are covering many lighting scenarios as we proceed to our Posing and Lighting section. Using a diffuser, Jerry is able to create more even lighting for this session. Follow as he provides tips on cropping and composition when shooting in the bright sun. Jerry also shoots a before and after using the white side of a reflector to demonstrate the difference in using one to create the short side of the subject's face.

We keep things going right into our Advice section and 10 more brand new individual images up for critique. Remember that all Pro members are eligible to submit images for Jerry to critique and feature in future months.

New chapter, new Ice Queen. Please help me welcome Sindy this month. Recently in Miami, Jerry photographed Sindy using a variety of light including the sun, an Ice Light, and even an overhead lamp. Check out the results...

Who doesn't love reflections? We sure do! Our Practice section covers reflections, shadows, and posing. Three individual components to a great shot.  We hope these examples will get you thinking outside the box for your next shoot.

Often we get asked, how can I set myself apart? In such a crowded industry, what can I do to separate myself? Well, Jerry took to our Tip of the Iceberg section to answer just that. Take Jerry's answer and do what you can to push forward in your own market.

Let's wrap up Chapter 104 with Icing on the Cake and the conclusion of a shoot with Katie and Ben. Jerry started last month photographing them for a sexy couples session and continued that this month outdoors. The bright sun was present so we used a scrim jim with a diffusor with proper posing to get clean even lighting. Be sure to pay close attention as always to the posing Jerry uses to fill in light on the couples face.
